Yeah, yeah, long time no write. Long time no do anything interesting more like, and not enough time to do much more than spout out the bullet point version.
Bloc Party played the Olympia last night and it was fantastic. Downstairs in front of the barrier turned into a frantic sweaty moshpit. Strobes agogo. Crowdsurfing. Clothes that were mysteriously more sweat soaked on the outside than the inside. Great sound. Faster tunes. Great support from the Mitchell Brothers. And a very odd inter-act choice of tunes, starting with Death From Above 1979's Romantic Rights, and closing with some Temple Theatre worthy hard trance.
More Monday's should be like this.
