So I've recently come across two albums which, despite being mentioned in various media, don't seem to exist. First was Digital Folklore by Oi Va Voi - did well in the BBC's 2003 world music awards, yet they've since released an entirely different album and called that their first, eliding the original from history: this "official" debut album has garnered middling reviews and doesn't contain the nice track on the BBC's site. Bah. Next (and slightly more real) was the album of the year in that long article Simon referenced: Polarmon's Dreams Top Rock ("MBV with Julee Cruise? I'll have some of that!"), which turns up loads of good reviews on Google but cannot be had in the UK. This actually is available from continental Amazon sites (e.g. .de), which says something vaguely interesting about Google I suppose. Anyway, does this happen often?
