by GYBE is getting better with age, at first I was listening to only the first song (Storm) which is brilliant but the rest of it is good as well. Can never be as good as Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada. Pity it's not on one cd, 4 songs over 2 cds is a bit much.

What else - failed to buy a ticket in time to see PJ Harvey in the Tate Modern in London - don't know if I could have gone but it would be quite a venue.

Really must get some albums in preparation for Glasto - My Morning Jacket, Grannadaddy, new Yo La Tengo, The Kills maybe even The Coral!, Calexico. Flaming Lips, Doves (Doves after Sigur Ros on Sunday - that might be the closer to rival Tindersticks, Mercury Rev,. Mogwai finish in 2000).

And Julian Cope, Zwan, De La Soul etc.

Ok I'm not going to get all of those but a few somehow.....

eamonn, i know it's not the proper way to contact someone but the e-mail in your site doesn't seem to work. roger here -the erasmus spaniard who was around d.i.t. by the end of the last century-. don't even know how i got to your page but i did. it had something to do with rebekah del rio, i think (by the way, that's not fado to my knowledge, but then again i'm not portuguese).
how's things? how are andy, nodlag, anne and berni doing? hope they're all in good form. send them my best wishes. as for the concerts you're metioning, i wouldn't expect much from sigur ros. i've seen them twice and in my opinion are the most boring thing on earth. de la soul are good fun live, though. still, they seem to always end up their shows inviting girls only on stage and dancing along. not everyone's cup of tea, i suppose. stay well

roger

ps: i totally agree with you on the gybe thingh.

Hey Roger, a nice surprise to hear from you. My email is emaher @ baltimore.ie ....errr must fix link.

Things here are fine, Nodlag is finishing off a film ("Missing") which Anne helped shoot, (should be more about it on this site...soon). Andy is finishing up his studies in Canterbury, Berni is doing a course in Ardmore (I think), everybody in good form. All change and no change I suppose. There is a new Dave Couse album - I'll get you a copy if you like.

Of course I wouldn't know proper fado if it hit me over the head. The 2 times I saw Sigur ORs they seemed to be pretty good (one of nights was when they were supporting GYBE - me and Anne though Sigur Ros was GYBE becuase they were so good - never mind they are quite different).

Send me an email.
